Emanuel Konstantaras started this petition to Verizon and

Don't let Verizon put a cell phone tower 310 feet from Woodburn Elementary School and its 600 young students. Verizon is proposing a 120 foot tower across from Woodburn, even though their consultant group ACOM said it is not in an ideal location due to the school. The leasing landowner, Ken Navidi is allowing the tower in a location furthest from their family home and closest to Woodburn Elementary School. The children at Woodburn as well as the handful of nearby property owners will receive a heavy amount of RF radiation every day with none of the alleged cellular coverage benefits.

Studies out of Germany and Israel show the chances of developing cancer when towers are within a one-quarter mile, are 2 to 3 times as likely as those that are more than 1,500 feet away. When placed on or near schools, within one-fifth a mile, the risk of developing cancer is more than four times the average risk. Women and young girls were found to develop cancer 10 times more frequently. Sprint recently removed a tower near a school in Ripon, CA after a 4th child became ill with a rare cancer.

This makes it clear who will benefit from this, Verizon and the landowner. Do not put our children at risk!

Sign this petition to ask Verizon and the landowner, Ken Navidi to move the tower a safe distance (at least 1500 feet) from the school. There are 26 acres to choose from! Ask them to put the children first!
