Vegancuts is widely known for cruelty free vegan products and its generous donation program to sanctuaries. However, one of their current featured “sanctuaries” Big Cat Rescue Tampa, is a facility well known for its barbaric inhumane practices of terrorizing, torturing and killing live pet domestic rabbits and rats in the name of rehab, proclaiming to be a real sanctuary.

We the petitioners respectfully request Vegancuts stand behind their mission statement, their supporters and not promote an unethical facility just because they are accredited.
We ask Vegancuts to please continue the generous animal donation program while researching and vetting facilities with their expert staff before supporting.

Big Cat Rescue has gone against every ethical and moral code for a “rescue” organization disrespecting the lives of pet domestic rabbits and rats while deciding which animal has a right to life and which is chosen for deliberate infliction of pain and suffering.  Live feeding is wrong, inhumane, unethical and it is cruel to inflict a torturous death upon prey animals, regardless of whether they were “bred” for this purpose by heartless humans.

Tiger Lilly’s background – According to USDA and 1997 inventory papers, a total of 16 bobcat and Canadian lynx kittens were purchased for breeding and selling, and personal pets by Carole's husband Don.

Background Armani (Amber) and Jade – According to Big Cat Rescue/Wildlife on Easy Street records, the cats were purchased by the facility at 10 days old for $600.00 each and used for photo shoots, also personal pets. 

The Cruelty and Ignorance
The domestic rabbits being slaughtered don’t belong to anyone for them to be considered pets, but they’re still the same species of pet rabbits we raise as part of the family. In certain countries, dogs are raised to be slaughtered, but that doesn’t make the dogs being slaughtered different than the dogs we keep as pets. Unless some animal abuser releases their pet rabbit into the wild or leaves the animal unprotected outdoors; bobcats do not naturally eat domesticated rabbits. 

If a rehabber started feeding dogs to a mountain lion they planned on releasing into the wild there would be outrageous uproar.  Mountain lions eat coyotes, yet it wouldn’t make sense to then feed them domesticated dogs.

Accredited does not equal ethical and the ethical animal caretaker should not cause any harm to any feeling being unnecessarily.  Live feeding one animal to another is not respected by ethical rescues or rehabs, please respectfully voice your opinion by signing and sharing this petition.
