We are asking that Vectren and Evansville's city hall work together with Energy for Evansville to implement a BESS system into their grid. A BESS system on Evansville's grid costs less than a traditional gas-powered peaker plant over 20 years and is environmentally friendlier. Energy for Evansville also believes that over the course of those 20 years, our plan could save Evansville residents money as an energy credit.
