Vaughan Mills takes pride in environmental initiatives enclosed in their “Lean & Green” program but lacks a basic recycling program. This petition urges Vaughan Mills to create a recycling program in which stores can have blue bins emptied along with  their garbage pick ups. These blue bins would allow stores to recycle receipts, paperwork, plastic bottles and cans, etc. This would have a great impact on the environmental footprint of Vaughan because Vaughan Mills has over 200 retail stores and is the largest shopping mall in York Region. When it comes to the environment, every little bit matters- but in this case, it’s not a little bit, it’s a lot!
