Road pricing has been front and centre in the election, with Ken Sim accusing Kennedy Stewart of planning to introduce the charge if he is re-elected.  Stewart, meanwhile, insists that he does not support the plan and would never implement it.

Here are some useful facts:

1.  Kennedy Stewart voted to spend $1.5m studying a plan to introduce it and now claims he would never, ever implement it. Ask yourself, who agrees to spend all that money looking into something they do not support?
2.  None of Stewart’s Forward Vancouver candidates will confirm that they oppose road pricing.
3.  Ken Sim opposes road pricing, but one of Ken Sim’s ABC party councillors voted in support of studying road pricing, so that’s confusing.
4.  No one from COPE, One City, Greens or Vision have said they oppose road pricing. In fact, it’s pretty likely they all would support it and NPA do not have a stated policy position.

So if you don’t want to pay to enter the huge zone from Clark to Burrard and from downtown all the way to 16th, who should you be voting for?

ABC are against road pricing, but as above, an ABC councillor voted in favour of studying it.  NPA have no policy position on this on this on their website.  It doesn’t feel very NPA to support road pricing, but TEAM for a Livable Vancouver are very clear. TEAM is against road pricing, their website policy page confirms this and mayoral candidate Colleen Hardwick voted against it.

Over 25,000 of you are receiving this message because you supported this petition. That is enough people to make a huge difference for mayor, but especially on votes for councillors, so please be sure to get out and vote to keep road pricing out of Vancouver.
