so we have ALL noticed that Value Village has gotten way out of hand with their pricing, right? They claim to be “committed to making secondhand second nature” according to their website, but have recently increased prices to insane amount. e.g: items like jars and such from the dollar store, costing $5-10, old no name brand t-shirts ranging from $9.99-$15, used coffee pots costing $30, used kitchen aid mixers priced at $200 etc… the list goes on. As a university student trying to furnish my apartment and get myself some nice new clothes every so often, thrifting is sometimes my only option. Not to mention immigrant families needing to furnish new homes, or low income families trying to clothe their children. This company needs to humble themselves. Value Village, with this petition, we ask you to return your prices to reasonable SECOND HAND prices as you are a FOR PROFIT company and have absolutely zero reason to raise prices like this. And we know for a fact you aren’t paying your workers more because of this price hike. Do better! We will boycott until the prices are lowered to where they used to be.
