The ongoing spread of the corona virus in the U.S (The Bay Area included) students, teachers, staff, and others are worried for their own well being. According to ABC 7 News, “There are confirmed cases in all nine Bay Area counties... Local emergencies related to coronavirus have been declared in Solano, San Francisco, Santa Clara, San Mateo, Marin, Sonoma, and Alameda counties.” With these local emergency notices, students and staff should be able to stay at home without having to be worried about catching this deadly virus. School districts in San Francisco, Peninsula, and more have closed school and other related pursuits. Prestigious colleges in the area are planning on closing in-person classes, and the Golden State Warriors won’t allow fans to watch at the Chase Center. With the previous wildfires that have happened in the past, the VCUSD has closed its schools. So, how is this virus outbreak any different from a fire, that takes lives just as this virus does?
