Vallabh Vidyanagar, is a center of education with a small but important University in Gujarat India. This little town is also home to thousands of trees, many of them several decades old. In spite of severe urbanization, Vidyanagar has successfully maintained its green cover, mainly thanks to Voluntary Natural Conservancy, a nongovernmental, nonprofit group of volunteers, working hard to save environment. 

Due to critical traffic problem around a train passage, local authorities have decided to cut down at least 68 trees. We need your help to save them. This environmental disaster must be stopped. There are other ways to solve traffic problems around the crossing, such as widening the train crossing and road in its immediate vicinity without bringing harm to trees. The authorities of Vidyanagar Nagar Palika must involve environmental groups and other citizens to discuss this and find the best and exemplary solution of which we can be all proud. Let us show to the rest of the world that Vidyanagar can solve modern urbanization problems without harming its environmental heritage. Those trees belong to us all.
