Recently, Valdosta State decided to allow residents of the dorms to park in the Oak Street parking deck, which is the one closest to campus. This makes parking for commuters very difficult, and often impossible to park there. Unless you have an 8AM or 5PM class, there is rarely any parking on Oak or even in the parking lot behind that parking deck. 

I'd like to successfully be able to have residents park back at the Sustella parking deck, so that commuters can have a spot closer to campus. Commuters drive from home to school every day, whereas residents do not use their cars every day. I personally have had to park in Sustella parking deck since school started, causing me to either be very late to class, or have to get to the parking deck more than 45 minutes early just to find a spot and be able to get to class on time. 

With residents parking in sustella, it is easier on commuters to get to their classes, as well as not effecting the residents as much due to the fact that they do not use their cars every day. The times they have to walk to sustella are few and far between, while for commuters it is every day and very difficult.
