Transwomen are authentic women. Transmen are authentic men. Nonbinary genders exist and are valid. 

Our university needs to stop the hateful narrative that transwomen are sexual predators. We need to adopt a clear nondiscrimination policy in regards to accessing the locker rooms at the Klotsche Center and anywhere else on campus. This policy needs to treat transgender individuals the same as cisgender individuals.

Subjecting people to any additional restrictions or burdens based on their body parts also discriminates against intersex individuals and is a clear violation of Title IX protections. Forcing people with non-conforming genitalia to "cover up" is unacceptable and stigmatizing. Not everyone has the same body parts, and this is okay.

During any remodeling, the university should also look to add locking shower stalls (similar to bathroom stalls) inside of locker rooms that any person may use if they so choose.

In addition, the university should pick a male and female multi-stalled restroom in every campus building and change them to being "gender inclusive." We demand this change happens now. Many universities have already done this without issue.
