Over 200 students have been affected by the sudden closure of the only accredited Musical Theatre School in Scotland located in Livingston. The abrupt liquidation has left many young and aspiring talents with shattered dreams, unable to continue their education which they had hoped would be a stepping stone to their future. This closure not only disrupts our education but also diminishes the nurturing environment local and national talents need to grow and achieve their aspirations.

We urge universities to help us preserve our educational ambitions by utilizing the now liquidated facilities at the Scottish Institute. We believe these facilities can still serve their original purpose and keep the flame of artistic education alive in Livingston. Our community is deeply intertwined with these environments, and their continuity is crucial for both present and future students.

Firstly, we wish to continue our education in Livingston, as planned, without further disruption to our lives and education paths. Keeping our education local reduces upheaval in our daily lives and allows the community that has formed here to thrive without disbanding.

Secondly, we plea that the excellent staff, whose skills and expertise attracted us to this institute and its courses, be retained. Their dedication and specialized knowledge are invaluable to our learning journey. These educators have built a rapport and a proven track record with us, ensuring a seamless transition back to our studies.

Lastly, we are open to transferring to a new accreditation university as long as it upholds the continuation of our educational efforts in the way that was promised. This transition should respect the commitments made to students and ensure educational quality and integrity.
