Due to COVID-19 complications, USU has decided to move to a blended learning style of in-person classes and online remote learning for the Fall 2020 semester, and most likely for the Spring 2021 semester. USU has also stated after Thanksgiving break, the remainder of the semester will be delivered remotely to avoid any spike in COVID-19 cases. 

Online classes and extreme social distancing efforts within in-person classes are safer, but come with a diminished educational experience. USU claims to be working on continuing student events, but it is unclear if traditional events will be held in a manner worth the student body fees, or if they will even be held at all. By charging full tuition, Utah State University is putting incredible financial burden on their students. COVID-19 has caused tremendous hardships on all of us, for which we should not be at fault for. 

We believe Utah State University should lower student body fees, erase them, or lower tuition overall. As an educational institution committed to the well being and learning of their students, they should take responsibility for their decision to ensure our Aggie family can not only survive, but thrive through this.
