Today has been an emotional day for me. My father wrote a letter to a former LDS missionary who generously paid for my son Chris' flight to the US Embassy in South Africa for a visitor's visa. I haven't seen my son in over six years. Although I am no longer a member of the LDS church or a Christian and do not believe in God, "Elder Hargrave" has always been kind to me and my family. He and Christina are true examples of love. I mention this because Elder Hargrave is one of the few friends who have remained supportive after I left the church.

"Every mama needs to see her son, " Hargrave says.
