Keep wildlife and people safe on SR Highway 224 Park City, Utah

The Issue

We've accomplished great things so far with the installation of wildlife fencing and the wildlife overpass along I-80, but our work is not done yet - it is only getting started.  Park City residents are concerned for their safety and about the excessive amount of dead animals along Highway 224 into Park City.

Our city has grown over 200% since 1980 and yet no provisions have been made to help protect our citizens from wildlife collisions along this corridor.  Residents and tourists all pass by numerous carcasses’ left dead on the side of the road.  From Moose and their babies, deer, elk, raccoons, skunks and many others, all took their last breaths on this road.  Moreover, this location is used by elk herds in their migration.  Not only does it sadden us to see the beautiful animals dead, but we are concerned of people's safety as well.

We ask our officials to find a safe passage solution for our animals and keep our roads safe and blood free.

Act now and urge UDOT and Park City officials to come up with a safe passage solution that keeps wildlife alive and away from the road, and our citizens safe !
