UTA staying at Atlanta Tennis Centers

UTA staying at Atlanta Tennis Centers
The Issue
UTA STUDENTS WANTING UTA TO STAY AT ATLANTA CENTERS!
Universal Tennis Academy was founded twenty-two years ago and has been managing the City of Atlanta Tennis Center’s courts for over nine years. Over the course of these years, UTA has been one of the premiere academies for developing high school and collegiate tennis players. Unfortunately, UTA could be leaving the Bitsy Grant, McGhee, Chastain Park, Piedmont Park, and Washington Park Tennis Centers. As Nelson Mandela said, “Children are our greatest treasure. They are our future.” UTA has served the youth of Atlanta well for the past 22 years. They have sent over 200 young athletes to play collegiately, most of them playing for Division 1 universities. The majority of UTA coaches have played either high-level junior tennis or college tennis. They know what it takes to be scholar-athletes in today’s competitive environment. That being said, they also excel at teaching players of all levels to enjoy this great sport of a lifetime. UTA coaches come from all over the world, have different backgrounds and experience, and are very passionate about what they do. They not only teach tennis skills, but also teach life lessons about respect, hard work, and good sportsmanship. If UTA leaves these sites, many juniors would not have a place to play tennis, nor would they have high-quality coaches to help them develop, both as athletes and as young adults. Most UTA students say that the coaches are like family to them. UTA is more than just a tennis academy. It is a second home for many of these children. Whether it is on the tennis court, at a pizza party, at the movies, or at a tennis tournament around the country, the coaches and children all have a unique and special bond. These kids and coaches do not wish to lose that. Please help us fight to keep the City of Atlanta Tennis Centers the best they can be!
