We oppose UT-Arlington’s exclusivity deal with Pepsi and want Dr. Pepper back on campus.

The Issue

In January of 2019, UT Arlington announced to its student body that Dr. Pepper and Coca Cola products would be banned from most locations on campus, except the College Park Center, as an exclusivity deal with PepsiCo. was in its later stages of being finalized.

Since there was no consultation seeking to measure the student body’s preferences, we demand that Dr. Pepper and Coke products be brought back onto campus.

It is unclear as to how this deal will benefit the student body. Will prices on soft drinks be lowered? How is a UTA student benefitted by this deal?

There is still time before the contract is approved
