Students that have the resident meal plan at the University of Texas are given 1600 Dine In Dollars per year.

This equates to $8 per day of the week or $2.66 per meal. It is obvious that $2.66 cannot buy a full meal, let alone half a meal, at any dining hall on campus. While certain dining halls like J2 and Kinsolving are more economical, they are closed on the weekends and still exceed the $2.66 threshold.

The University should include more Bevo Bucks in meal plans so that students can eat 3 meals per day without needing to budget.
