The Issue

In nature, dolphins swim vast distances every day with their extended families, exploring new places and seeking out adventures and pursuits. Dolphins in captivity are confined to tiny tanks and see the same concrete walls every day of their lives. Dolphins navigate by echolocation, but in pools, the reverberations from their own sonar bounce off the walls.
After countless people have approached uShaka Marine World with questions as to why they capture wild dolphins and expect them to perform tricks for deafening crowds?? Are they still breeding the dolphins in captivity? WHY ARE DOLPHIN SHOWS STILL GOING ON? uShaka Marine World hides away and instead of answering questions will proceed to block you on every social platform. In this day and age people should educate themselves that dolphin shows are a cruel practice that should not be supported.
Performing a dolphin show to promote conservation is counterproductive. Why are they not creating a more realistic swimming environment for those dolphins that can’t go back into the wild? A dolphin living in a swimming pool is the equivalent to a human living in a bathtub. Now that we have all been forced to live in isolation we know exactly how they must feel.
Why do we allow school trips to uShaka Marine World that educate the kids that dolphin shows are okay when they aren’t? Why are we not supporting the many businesses that take you on the ocean to witness whales and dolphins in the wild? Durban needs to step up for what is right and not let this happen anymore. We want answers uShaka Marine World! Why are you not being transparent with us? BOYCOTT DOLPHIN SHOWS!!!!
