The Issue

Wall Township's Recreation Department is a cherished activity developer for many residents, offering activities for all ages. However, our community's rapidly growing needs have outpaced the available resources. Imagine a Wall Township with expanded facilities, featuring indoor water activities, an ice rink, and a running track. But how can it be paid for you ask?

Currently, New Jersey restricts the issuance of liquor licenses, with one consumption license for every 3,000 residents and one distribution license for every 7,500 residents.  Sell new liquor licenses and use the money to fund a project for all residents to benefit

The proceeds from the issuance of new liquor licenses should be directly allocated to the Wall Township Recreation Trust Fund. This fund will be crucial in realizing our dream of modernizing and expanding recreational infrastructure.

This change not only presents a chance to enhance our local amenities, but also strengthens our community’s engagement and vitality. It is about turning a housing onslaught into opportunity.

Join us in advocating for this vital change that aligns economic benefits with community enhancements. Sign and support this petition to foster recreational growth in Wall Township, NJ.
