Dear Signatories – Heartfelt thanks! You’ve helped give birth to this project for justice. Darren Rainey’s voice will not be heard again but we can make sure his name is heard by the ears of the world. We can make his story known and show the Florida authorities that the people will not let them get away with murder. We can also send a strong message that it is not acceptable for the Florida Department of Corrections to keep housing Harold Hempstead, the key witness in Darren Rainey’s murder, with a series of disturbed killers as cellmates. FDC are manipulating a situation that could result in the termination of the witness to their own crimes. This is a mockery of justice – FDC has an obligation to protect Harold. Now I’m going to ask you to cross a line from armchair-activism to street activism, because if we’re serious about standing up for justice, it’ll take more than just pushing a few buttons!
