In the past years the USDA has been allowing animal cruelty to be performed legally with the allowance of battery farms in the US. A battery cage is made of wire and is 18x20 inches it usually has 11 hens crammed inside. In 2012 the European Union banned battery farming, it is time we take that next step forward and ban battery farming in the US.
