When CompassionWorks International learned that Nosey was performing recently in Miami, we sprang into action. A dedicated local animal advocate documented Nosey's current condition on our behalf, and found that she is continuing to be forced to give rides under the threat of a bullhook by her "owner" Hugo Liebel (please see photo). Nosey has not been regularly performing with any one circus this year, so her movements have been very difficult to track. While we celebrate the closure of Ringling this weekend in Long Island, NY, CWI is committed to keeping up the fight against circus cruelty. We continue to organize protests, perform investigations, and support local legislation. We are currently involved in supporting anti-animal circus ordinances in New York, Pennsylvania, Nevada, and Arizona. We will not stop until the use of animals in traveling entertainment is no more. Please continue to raise awareness about the plight of Nosey and other animals confined to the circus!
