Many men I have served with have had their lives saved, secured and improved by the relations we’ve had with a almost unknown element in Iraq; our interpreters. They lived with us, fought with us, served our nation to the same standard as the American soldier. The harsh reality is that they’re now foreigners in their own nation, left abandoned, desolate and at times threatened for aiding the United States soldier. The harsh reality for them and their family is that the process of immigration to the United States is almost impossible. It is imperative we as a nation that asked so much of them to their own risk step up and do our ethical duty to bring these brothers to the United States. “There is no love greater than a man willing to lay down his life for a brother” and that’s who these Iraqi interpreters are. Our brothers; as a nation we can do better. Any and all support is appreciated. Thank you all!
