Ultimate is a team sport sometimes called "Ultimate Frisbee". USA Ultimate is the main organization managing youth and adult events. Currently USA Ultimate has a stricter requirement for sanctioning events than almost any state or locality. For example, on April 22, 2021, the Minnesota Department of Health removed the requirement for youth athletes to wear a facemask during active play, however, USA Ultimate still mandates that players wear a facemask during active play.

We are asking USA Ultimate to follow the guidelines set out by the individual localities rather than issuing a one-size-fits-all rule. Every state or locality is well equipped to manage its own response to COVID-19. There is no need for a national sports organization to instruct people how to respond to medical situations.
