#ThePledge: I Will Build and Maintain Racial Justice

The Issue

The last several months, years, decades and centuries have shown us that racial justice for Blacks does not exist.  Rather, racial justice has been systemically oppressed. Blacks clearly do not share the values of freedom, liberty, and equality with Whites.

As a citizen of the United States of America, each of us recognize “We are a nation bound not by race or religion, but by the shared values of freedom, liberty, and equality.” SOURCE: HOMELAND SECURITY

We cannot rely on ‘them’ or the 'government'  to  legislate, build or maintain racial justice for all.  We, as citizens need to be:

  •   Supporting and defending the constitution;
  •   Staying informed of issues affecting our community;
  •   Respecting the rights, beliefs and opinions of others;
  •   Participating in our local community

Let’s stop the racial inequality together.

Sign and Share The Pledge:

I pledge, by my signature below, that I will build and maintain racial justice by

  • Communicating with Black citizens to identify their issues and how I can work with them to resolve these issues;
  • Bearing witness to injustices to Black citizens by recording, communicating to police, government, social media and news;
  • Stopping violent injustices in process via de-escalation or calling in help:
  • Recognizing and calling out injustices at my schools, place of work, clubs, in government, and in incarceration and application of law
  •  Demanding diversity with Blacks at my place of work, my schools, my clubs and in government
  • Financially supporting Black education and work
  • Teaching my children, family and friends to do the same
