"Senate Finance Committee Chairman Ron Wyden, D-Oregon, said Wednesday that the Senate will not change the bill, and will likely pass it before Congress adjourns, perhaps within a week. Wyden expressed disappointment with the bill because he felt it was too heavy with tax breaks for businesses, and didn't include enough breaks for families and clean-energy projects. Both Republicans and Democrats in the House indicated disappointment that the bill only extends certain breaks for one year, preferring to have a permanent tax-code revision in place.
