Reinstate the Command of Brett Crozier, USS Teddy Roosevelt

Reinstate the Command of Brett Crozier, USS Teddy Roosevelt

The Issue

Captain Brett Crozier was relieved of his command after publicizing a letter to his superiors detailing the COVID19 outbreak on the USS Theodore Roosevelt.  The ineptitude of the Acting Secretary if the Navy, Thomas Modly, and the entire Department of Defense, needlessly left the Teddy Roosevelt crew at risk and threatens the security of our country.  Captain Crozier's sacrificed his career for the safety and wellbeing of his crew.  It is likely many other Navy ships are in the same position and his actions forced the Navy to face facts and react.  Our sailors must be protected from unnecessary illness and death.

This petition calls on the Department of Defense, Secretary Mark Esper, and Acting Secretary Thomas Modly to reinstate Captain Crozier's command.  His actions were that of great leader faced with no other choice.
