House Representatives Tim Ryan and Ro Khanna have introduced another round of emergency legislation to bail out American workers.  The bill includes paying workers $2,000 per month until unemployment levels fall to pre-COVID levels.

This would save millions of Americans from losing everything - their homes, their businesses, their life savings, while also infusing the economy with cash.   How will it be paid for?  A total economic collapse is far more expensive than this temporary expense.  If everyday Americans don't get this stimulus, the corporations will.
