We need Police Reform now!!

We need Police Reform now!!
The Issue
There needs to be a nationwide police reform.
Law enforcement officers must be held accountable for their actions in their job positions. They are not above the law and should have the same rights as every American citizen, which includes consequences for their actions. The countless amounts of unlawful arrests and murders by police officers with no eye-witnesses or footage proof has to come to an end.
I believe there are three actionable items that could begin the process of fixing this systemic issue:
1) Require all law enforcement officers to wear body cameras that cannot be turned on and off at their convenience (This is similar to using any corporate company equipment, where every key stroke can be recorded). This would aid in having proof of all parties involved in police encounters.
2) Hold all law enforcement officers accountable for their team's actions during police encounters. Any officer who is on scene, from a simple traffic stop to a crime scene, should be held accountable and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law for their or their teammate's actions. I believe this would have a ripple effect, make officers more aware of their actions, and decrease the amount of misconduct.
3) Revisit your state's local police academy and add vital training that includes deescalating a situation, mental health, racial injustice history, etc. Officers need to have this important education.
It starts at the government level - have these conversations and protect and serve our communities!
