A little good news for Fernald (Ohio) site workers: If you were there from 1968 to 1978, you're now part of the Special Exposure Cohort. Hurry up and re-submit your claims before HHS changes its mind. :) I'd appreciate Kathleen Sebelius taking a few minutes to explain how the radioactive and hazardous materials somehow magically didn't affect those of us there from 1954 through 1967 (when most of the stuff was first brought or created on the site) or from 1979 through 2006 (when my colleagues and I were cleaning up the stuff on the site).
