Push For More Forest Management On Our Public lands!
Why this petition matters

In our Public Lands across North Georgia us Nature Goers we have poor, little to no forest management in our National Forest and Wildlife Management Areas out side of the Wilderness Areas. As a Hunter I see that where the little forest management does happen it helps the wildlife and timber out so so much. It helps with water run off into the streams and creeks.
This is not just for me and the other Hunters. This is for all the Hikers, Bikers, Horse riders that have used the trails on the public or have thought about using them or plan on using them in the future. No View goer wants to go look down across the mountains and see a bunch of dead trees fallen on each other down through the woods. Also for anyone that uses the trails its aggravating when theirs trees down across the trail and we have to go up/down through the woods to get around them.
Better and more forest management will not completely make those kind of problems go way but it will definitely minimize those problems. Some people are going to say but timber cut overs and controlled burns are not a pleasant view either but its all about secondary succession. So lets all as a whole come together and show the goods of forest management and push for more of it on our public lands in our great state of Georgia.
