We the incoming students of India to US universities are uncertain about the current situation of Visa availability. Our programs in US universities are opening this fall, which is less than 60 days away, and we do not have clarity in regards to our visa appointments. It is quite taxing for us to be in constant anxiety and stress as we have to be on the lookout for visa slots.

We understand that Covid 19 pandemic has struck us hard and disrupted our existing systems. But we would request you for some clarity and communication over Twitter handles in regards to visa slots.

Moreover, this non-binding petition is an effort from our side to structure the data of incoming students who would be applying for visas. We expect to support you in estimating the number of applicants, which we think can be fairly assumed as the number of signatures, at least the minimum, to this open petition. This might help you in structuring the opening of new visa slots.
