Important Announcement Tomorrow

Friends of Allendale, Northwest Louisiana Council of Governments will announce tomorrow, September 9, two routes recommended for further study in the EPA process which will one day lead to a final recommendation of a route for I-49 through Shreveport. Since 1995, when this issue was settled the first time, that official route has been the Loop, La 3132 and I-220. Hopefully the Loop will make the cut for EPA consideration. Regardless, one or possibly two routes will go forward in the process and three of the five routes will be eliminated. We cover your prayers and well wishes as we watch and wait for the announcement tomorrow. We'll be downtown at Shreveport Government Plaza at 9am and we hope you can join us. The media will be there, the politicians will be there, and those who would like to build a highway through our homes will probably be there too. Thank you for signing and sharing our petition.
