On average, two racehorses die per every day on the track in the United States alone. A more recent event at Santa Anita race track the 37th horse this year killed, annually this track has about fifty fatalities annually. It’s not just Santa Anita race track but all over the country, horses are dying from injuries caused on the track. Around 1,000 horses are killed on the track a year, not including the fatalities due from drugging and other abuse behind the scenes. Even after these horses are retired from the track they are often sent to slaughter in either Mexico and Canada. We must stand up for those who can’t stand up for themselves, these horses don’t deserve this, we must give them a voice. There need to be laws preventing such a large scale abuse taking place in the racing industry. Take a stand to the racing industry. Help to make a difference to thoroughbreds all around the nation, help to stop the racing Industry from killing these beautiful creatures.
