We need your help. Big Ag has been caught abusing commodity advertising programs to attack sustainable food companies. We need to stop this from happening again.

These programs – known as “checkoffs” – have been used by the beef, pork, and egg industries to undermine alternatives to factory farmed products. The Egg Board, for example, attempted to squash a plant-based company and prevent its products from being sold.

To ensure checkoffs are held accountable, The Good Food Institute is working with Senators Lee (R-UT) and Booker (D-NJ) and Representatives Brat (R-VA) and Titus (D-NV) to support two bills:

• The Opportunities for Fairness in Farming Act (OFF) 
• The Voluntary Checkoff Program Participation Act

These bills are designed as commonsense measures to bring much-needed transparency and accountability to checkoff programs.
