We received distressing reports from our detained members in Turkey, detailing the deteriorating health conditions and the alarming and rapid spread of disease among the detained group, particularly among the children.

Health conditions of detainees deteriorates as they suffer from further medical neglect

One child, Mahdi, is suffering from slow gut syndrome and requires a diet rich in fibers, consisting of fruits and vegetables to regulate his intestines. Unfortunately, the meals provided in detention lack the necessary nutrients, and as a result, Mahdi has been enduring constipation and stomach pain for a whole week, with his health deteriorating day by day.

Continuous medical neglect for detained children

Another child, Baneen, aged 12-13, is suffering from yellow or colored spots appearing on her skin which is likely due to anemia, according to Baneen herself. She is also suffering from hair loss and rapid weight loss.

Furthermore, lice infestation has become rampant among the children in detention, from 2-year-olds all the way to 16-year-olds. No proper treatment or care has been provided for this contagious condition, causing great discomfort among the children.

Brother Munir, already unwell, is now suffering from palpitations, and no assistance is available to address his condition. Additionally, he exhibits discolored skin patches as a result of a liver infection, which he had mentioned before, yet no medical attention has been provided.

Brother Mihoub, who is diabetic, urgently requires a specialized diet and medication to manage his condition. However, the food provided does not cater to diabetics, and he has not received any medication to control his blood sugar levels. As a result, he has not eaten anything in the past 7-10 days, leading to alarming weight loss.

It has also been reported that last week, all detainees who exhibited various symptoms such as flu, headaches, stomach pains, or general pain, were gathered together and made to wait in an open yard under the scorching sun for a period of 2-3 hours, anticipating transportation to see a doctor. However, it was not until 2-3 hours later that a non-medical guard finally arrived and distributed medication without proper medical assessment. 

Amid these distressing reports, the plight of our 101 detained members was brought to the attention of Cheshire East Mayor Rod Fletcher during his exclusive visit today to the Ahmadi Religion of Peace and Light headquarters in Crewe. During the visit, he expressed deep concern for the religious persecution and the series of human rights violations our members are subjected to, both in Turkey and worldwide.

علاوة على ذلك، تفشت الإصابة بالقمل بين الأطفال المحتجزين، من الأطفال البالغين من العمر عامين وصولًا إلى الأطفال البالغين من العمر ١٦ عامًا، ولم يتم توفير العلاج أو الرعاية المناسبة لهذه الحالة المعدية 

ويعاني الأخ منير، وهو مريض بالفعل، الآن من خفقان في القلب ولم يتم توفير أي علاج أو عناية بحالته، بالإضافة إلى ذلك، ظهرت عليه بقع جلدية متغيرة اللون نتيجة التهاب في الكبد، وهو ما ذكره من قبل، ومع ذلك لم يتم تقديم أي رعاية طبية له

كما يحتاج الأخ ميهوب المصاب بمرض السكر إلى نظام غذائي ودواء مخصص للتعامل مع حالته ضرورياً، ومع ذلك، فإن الطعام المقدم لا يلبي احتياجات مرضى السكر، ولم يتلق أي دواء للسيطرة على مستويات السكر في الدم، نتيجة لذلك، لم يأكل أي شيء على مدار الـ ٧ - ١٠ أيام الماضية، مما أدى إلى فقدانه للوزن بشكل مقلق

كما أفادت التقارير أنه في الأسبوع الماضي، تم جمع جميع المعتقلين الذين ظهرت عليهم أعراض مختلفة مثل الأنفلونزا أو الصداع أو آلام في المعدة أو الألم العام، وتم إجبارهم على الانتظار في ساحة مفتوحة تحت أشعة الشمس الحارقة لمدة ٢ - ٣ ساعات، في انتظار رؤية الطبيب، فوصل أخيرًا حارس غير طبي بعد ٢ - ٣ ساعات وقام بتوزيع الأدوية دون تقييم طبي مناسب
