After widespread media attention on the case of the 104 detained Ansar in Turkey, independent Turkish media is now shedding light on the case as well.

Hadil El-Khouly, the spokesperson for the detained group and the human rights outreach coordinator at the Ahmadi Religion of Peace and Light, participated today in an interview with an independent news outlet in Turkey. During the interview, she provided insight into the faith and beliefs that the detained members are being persecuted for. She also shed light on the severe forms of persecution that these individuals face in their countries of origin.

Moreover, Hadil explained in detail the reasons why Turkey is not a safe place for those families to freely practice their faith. She also highlighted the critical factors that compelled these individuals to leave Turkey and take the step of seeking asylum in Bulgaria.
