On World Refugee Day, the Ahmadi Religion of Peace and Light is pleased to release its written statement to the UN Human Rights Council on the plight of the 104 members of the Ahmadi Religion of Peace and Light detained in Turkey. The statement is submitted by the organizations Coordination des Associations et des Particuliers pour la Liberté de Conscience and Human Rights Without Frontiers and will be distributed to all delegates of the member states of the Human Rights Council at the 53rd session. It discusses the religious persecution the 104 members endured in their home countries because of their faith and highlights their current crisis as they are facing deportation from Turkey, after being detained for legally trying to claim asylum at the Turkish-Bulgarian Border. 

The statement ends with the recommendation to annul all deportation orders and grant the group asylum in safer lands outside Turkey where they can practice their faith freely.  Read full statement:

Furthermore, the Human Rights Coordinator at the Ahmadi Religion of Peace and Light, Hadil El-Khouly, appeared yesterday on the satellite TV station “The Mahdi has appeared” to discuss the worldwide media support, human rights organizations’ efforts as well engagement at the UN level of the case so far. She highlighted how the support at non-governmental and intergovernmental levels has succeeded in raising this case to an emergency case at the international level.

The Ahmadi Religion of Peace and Light also continues to demand accountability for the accounts of violence enacted upon its members in detention in Edirne, Turkey. After a report was released on the accounts of torture and violence against the detained group, the legal team of the group in Turkey has yesterday successfully filed a complaint to the public prosecutor on behalf of the 104 detained members, detailing the severe beatings and violence endured by the group at the hands of the Turkish police, including vulnerable and elderly members in critical health conditions.

في يوم اللاجئ العالمي يسر دين السلام والنور الأحمدي أن يصدر بيانه المكتوب لمجلس حقوق الإنسان التابع للأمم المتحدة بشأن قضية الأنصار ال مائة و اربع أعضاء دين السلام والنور الأحمدي المحتجزين في تركيا. تم تقديم البيان من قبل منظمة كاب من أجل حرية الضمير ومنظمة حقوق الإنسان بلا حدود وسيتم توزيعه على جميع مندوبي الدول الأعضاء في مجلس حقوق الإنسان في الدورة ال ثالث و الخمسون. يناقش البيان الاضطهاد الديني الذي عانى منه الأنصار في بلدانهم الأصلية بسبب عقيدتهم،  ويسلط الضوء على أزمتهم الحالية حيث يواجهون الترحيل من تركيا بعد احتجازهم لمحاولتهم بشكل قانوني طلب اللجوء على الحدود التركية البلغارية

وينتهي البيان بالتوصية بإلغاء جميع أوامر الترحيل ومنح المجموعة حق اللجوء في أراض أكثر أمانًا خارج تركيا حيث يمكنهم ممارسة عقيدتهم بحرية

علاوة على ذلك ، ظهرت منسقة حقوق الإنسان في دين السلام والنور، هديل الخولي  أمس على القناة الفضائية "ظهر المهدي" لمناقشة الدعم الإعلامي العالمي، وجهود المنظمات الحقوقية وكذلك المشاركة في مستوى الأمم المتحدة للقضية حتى الآن. وأبرزت كيف نجح الدعم على المستويات غير الحكومية والحكومية الدولية في رفع هذه الحالة إلى حالة طارئة على المستوى الدولي

كما يواصل دين السلام والنور الأحمدي المطالبة بالمساءلة عن أعمال العنف التي ارتُكبت بحق الأنصار المحتجزين في أدرنة ، تركيا. بعد صدور تقرير عن وقائع التعذيب والعنف ضد المجموعة المحتجزة نجح الفريق القانوني في تركيا أمس في تقديم شكوى إلى المدعي العام نيابة عن الأعضاء المحتجزين يشرح بالتفصيل وقائع الضرب الشديد والعنف الذي تعرضوا له على أيدي الشرطة التركية بما في ذلك أفراد مستضعفون وكبار السن في ظروف صحية حرجة
