In light of the Covid-19 outbreak affecting the rest of the spring semester and severely limiting the college learning experience, it is only fair to make grades for this semester pass or fail.  Without the ability to attend regular class in the traditional sense and the limited capacity of online education at our institution it makes completing this semester very difficult for students.  We understand that the school and the administration are doing all they can to ensure that the semester is completed smoothly while dealing with the current circumstances.  However, other schools, such as Carnegie Mellon, have announced that they will be completing the remainder of the semester online with pass or fail grades implemented and we ask that you do the same.  This has been a rough time for students as many of us have had our lives completely interrupted by this pandemic and it is a stressful time for everyone.  Students from various other higher education institutions across the country have begun to ask for the same circumstances.  We ask that you show understanding in this time of crisis and we hope that you consider this proposition.
