Our beloved city of Fall River, MA is undergoing a renaissance, going back to its glory days. However, the litter - food wrappers, discarded papers, empty cans and plastic debris, mattresses and tires lying around tarnishes our Cites beauty. It gives a trashy perception of our city and impacts the vibrancy of our community. 

To combat this issue, we turn to our local legislators, urgently appealing to increase the number of public trashcans available throughout our city. Statistically, cities with a higher number of trash receptacles experience a significant reduction in street littering. According to a 2015 research by Keep America Beautiful, an additional public trashcan in a busy area can reduce littering by nearly 35% (Source: Keep America Beautiful).

By investing in more public trashcans, we can ensure cleaner streets, parks, and other public spaces, fostering a healthy and safe environment for every citizen of Fall River, MA. It's a vital step in our shared purpose of reverting to Fall River's former glory, truly enabling it to shine again.

We, the citizens of Fall River, plead with our local legislators to take this matter into consideration and increase the installation of public trashcans.
