( United States 8/5/2011 Even though I don't live in Denison anymore I grew up there and was living there when these crimes occurred. Please keep Charles Easley in prison. He should never be out walking the streets again. He chose to murder - his victims didn't have a choice.

United States 8/5/2011 I remember when this was taking place, I was in junior high. It had us all scared: children, parents, friends. I do not think that pediphiles change their predeliction for children. No matter how old they are. Keep him behind bars. Keep all sexual predators behind bars.

United States 8/5/2011 I attended Lamar Elementary not far from where this young girls body was found. The horror we all felt because our parents were afraid. The brothers grief....let him rot in prison.

United States 8/5/2011 Laurie was my cousin, we call her Sissy. She was my favorite. We had the same birthday and was a year old than me. This monster took a very special person from my life. I will always remember the special times we had. I will never forget her.

United States 8/6/2011 Melissa Im petitioning for sex offenders/predators molesters and pedophiles to get life imprisonment on their first offense. Im in Illinois and we no longer have the death penalty. This is a sad story but it will be one that will repeat unless these offenders get locked up for life. I will sign because there is no "rehabilitation" for these vile offenders. If you can sign mine i would appreciate it. Every state should have a law for permenant residency in prison. Good luck.
United States 8/6/2011 Charles Dennis Easley needs to remain locked behind bars until he dies. He lost the right to his freedom when he committed these crimes, especially against innocent children. Texas Board of Pardons and Parole - Keep this vile creature locked in jail where he belongs! DO NOT give him the opportunity to do this again. Thugs like this never rehabilitate and do not deserve a place in society.

I also grew up in Denison during the time this horrible crime was commited. And once again our judicial system let a person back out on the streets again to take the life of an innocent child. As the mother and grandmother of two young women I know how my heart would break! He needs to stay behind bars and one day soon he will answer to the only judge the one on high-God Almight!

United States 8/6/2011 Please don't ever let Charles Easley out of prison. I grew up with Sissy's sisters, Sherrie and Terrie. He ruined all our lives as children. After her death, my family was so paranoid that something awful would happen to me and as a result I could not even walk across the street to my friends house without an adult watching me or walking with me. He brought fear to an innocent town. He's been in prison so long that he could never function and be productive in society. He would probably do the same thing again just so he could go back to prison for tax payers to continue to pay his way. Everyone would be better off if someone found a way to kill him while he's still in prison Its wrong for the people who work hard and live productive lives to support killers of innocent children. He should be the dead one, not Sissy and not the Goolish child from Sherman. As long as we live we will never forget his crimes and he will not be welcome in our town.

United States 8/7/2011 Laurie is my sister. I can assure everyone that you never stop living with the hurt and pain and anguish that something like this causes. I hope and pray that the Board of Pardons and Paroles continues to do a good job and keep this sick murder behind bars so no other family has to suffer like ours has and continues to do so.

United States 8/7/2011 Hi, the sentence he is currently serving time on is one life sentence for the murder of the Golish girl. He was also convicted on Laurie's murder but later claimed his "rights were violated" in some way and requested-and was granted-multiple changes of venue in both cases. The conviction on Laurie was later overturned on a technicality but he remains in prison on the other life sentence. He gave a "gruesome confession" on the murder and the parole board continues to recognize what he did to our family and notify us of parole, etc. Any signatures we collect will remain in his file and be reexamined forever. He will be released in approx 20 years no matter what but by then he will be about 79years old and hopefully unable to harm anyone else.
United States 8/7/2011 Convicted child murderers and molesters should NEVER be paroled under any circumstances. If ever the death penalty applied, it certainly does in the case of Charles Dennis Easley. Just don't allow him to stalk the streets ever again.

United States 8/7/2011 I grew up just down the street from the school where Donna Marie Golish was kidnapped and I cannot begin to tell you the anguish that her death caused for so many. Many people can tell you exactly where they were when JFK was killed, or when the Oklahoma City bombing occurred or on 9/11. I can tell you that his horrible crimes had the same devastating effect here in our community. Many lives were changed that day, and none for the better. Please do not ever let this animal out on parole!

United States 8/7/2011 The impact the kidnapping and death of Laurie Stevens and the murder of Donna Marie Golish, had on our community is beyond description. A community that let their children play outside, ride their bikes, walk to the park, etc. became a town that was watching each child's move and what had been a feeling of safety became unrest and fear. Charles Dennis Easley's actions had an impact beyond the death of two innocent children and he should never be given the opportunity to repeat his gross actions!
United States 8/8/2011 I am a criminal defense attorney (25 years) and am familiar with this case and knew the prosecutors who tried it. Easley should spend his last day on earth locked up. His crimes were so heinous that I cannot conceive any "rehabilitation" could take place in his mind. Contrary to what we teach our children, there really are monsters in this world. Charles Easley is in that category of beings.

United States 9/6/2011 Joe Max Shelton was one of the Prosecuting Attorneys and when he was alive, every time Mr. Easley would come up for parole, he would write his own letters of the horrible murders of Donna Marie Golish and Laurie Stevens, the pain and suffering Mr. Easley caused those children to go through. Pull those letters out of your files and refresh your memories please.

He killed two children without remorse and should serve all of his sentence without ever having the benefit of parole. I remember the murders of these little girls so well. A very sad and frightening time in our towns of Denison and Sherman, TX. Please do not parole him. Thank you.
