Dear Advocate -
Today was a bad day. Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier pushed through an emergency ban on 7-OH with no evidence, no research data, no deaths, and no adverse events tied to it.
This is not about public safety - it’s about politics and money. Powerful kratom industry groups are losing market share to 7-OH and want it gone. The American Kratom Coalition (AKC) has donated directly to the University of Florida and Dr. Chris McCurdy, who is aligned with their interests.
Our 3 Key Messages:
The Evidence Does NOT Support a Ban — No deaths. No public health emergency. Not enough research to support a ban. We need facts, not fear.
A Ban Will Cause Harm — It cuts off access for people in recovery, veterans, and chronic pain patients. It prevents any further research.
Corporate Greed Disguised as Regulation — The kratom lobby wants to eliminate competition, not protect the public. Follow the money, uncover the truth.
We need you to act now:
Florida Residents: Contact the Florida Attorney General and your legislators — demand they reverse the ban and work with scientists on safe, regulated access. https://www.myfloridalegal.com/ and https://www.flhouse.gov/representatives
All other residents – proactively contact your state representatives to voice your opinion defending medical freedom and safe access to 7-OH! Contact Congress: https://speak4.app/lp/z101on8c/?ts=1754087830
