Urgent: Ali Zarei is at imminent risk of execution in Iran. Immediate international action is needed to save his life.

Ali Zarei Doozdarresi is a 26-year-old Iranian protester currently facing the death penalty in Iran. During the 2022 "Woman, Life, Freedom" protests, he was shot and lost vision in one eye. He was later arrested and sentenced to death on the charge of “corruption on earth.” His death sentence has reportedly been confirmed, and he is currently held in Ghezel Hesar Prison. Although no official execution date has been announced, he remains at serious and imminent risk. We urgently call on the international community to demand that Iranian authorities halt any execution, overturn his death sentence, and protect his fundamental human rights. His life may depend on swift action.
