We are pro-life and so is  SNAP!

As Americans who believe in protecting the most vulnerable among us, we call on Congress and the Administration to immediately restore funding for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) during this government shutdown.

SNAP is fundamentally pro-life because it:

• Protects pregnant mothers and their unborn children from malnutrition
• Ensures infants and children have access to essential nutrition for healthy development
• Supports families struggling to put food on the table
• Protects the elderly and disabled from hunger
• Upholds the dignity of every human life by meeting basic nutritional needs

Over 42 million Americans , including pregnant mothers, children, seniors, and people with disabilities, are at risk of losing critical food assistance starting November 1st due to the ongoing government shutdown. 

We demand:

• Immediate use of the $6 billion SNAP contingency fund to continue benefits
• Congressional action to end the shutdown and restore full SNAP funding
• Recognition that feeding hungry families is a moral imperative, not a political bargaining chips.

SNAP has never been disrupted this way in its history dating back to the Great Depression. We cannot allow politics to override our commitment to protecting life at every stage.
