I have not heard back from the US Army Corps of Engineers at Lake Allatoona. I have sent U.S. Representee Barry Loudermilk the following email.

Please help us spread the word for the dock improvements at Lake Allatoona.

I hope this letter finds you well. My name is Danny Peter, and I am writing to you on behalf of Lake City Anglers, a community deeply invested in the vibrant and safe use of Lake Allatoona.

As a frequent user of the lake, we are facing a significant challenge during the winter drawdown at the Blockhouse and Galts Ferry ramps. The docks at these ramps are completely out of the water, rendering boat launching unsafe and causing damage to boats as they are forced to beach on rocky shorelines.

In an effort to address this issue, our community has put forth a petition recommending the extension of walkways at these docks. This solution would allow the docks to remain floating during maximum winter drawdown, ensuring safe access and minimizing damage to boats.

We are reaching out to you, Representative Loudermilk, as a leader who has consistently shown dedication to the well-being of our community. We believe that your support and advocacy could play a crucial role in expediting these much-needed dock improvements.
