PRESERVE FRENCH CREEK! - Custer State Park in the Black Hills of South Dakota

The Issue

PETITION TO PRESERVE FRENCH CREEK:
An impact will be made, one way or another.

Let our politicians and representatives know that you do NOT support the discharge of wastewater into French Creek.

The decision to discharge The City of Custer's wastewater into French Creek will have an impact on the historic creek's water quality; as well as a cold-water trout population, impressions of tourists coming into Custer State Park for a clean environment, property owners along the creek, and well water quality. These are just a few of the impacts that this decision will make.
The impact of this permit will negatively influence fishing, recreational activities throughout Custer State Park, and will also largely affect Lower French Creek property owners' water quality & property values.
The original permit was granted based on information presented to the SD Department of Environment and Natural Resources BY the Engineering Firm that has been contracted to gain from the quick, forward-motion of this project.
