We, the undersigned, urgently call for the immediate dismissal of Officer Rodney Yates from the Columbia Police Department in Columbia, Mississippi. It has come to our attention that Officer Yates has engaged in multiple instances of excessive force, severely compromising public safety and eroding community trust in law enforcement.

Background: Officer Yates has a documented history of excessive force incidents.
Despite these reports, no significant actions have been taken to address his misconduct.
The continued employment of Officer Yates endangers the lives and well-being of the citizens of Columbia.
Our Demands:

The immediate suspension and/or termination of Officer Rodney Yates from his position within the Columbia Police Department.
A comprehensive investigation into all reported incidents involving Officer Yates.
Implementation of strict measures to ensure accountability and transparency within the department.

We Believe:Law enforcement officers must be held to the highest standards of conduct and integrity.
The use of excessive force is unacceptable and must be promptly addressed to prevent further harm.
Transparency and accountability are vital to restoring and maintaining public trust in law enforcement.

We Urge: Police Chief Adrian Fortenberry and other city officials to act without delay in removing Officer Rodney Yates from duty. We further call for immediate measures to ensure the Columbia Police Department operates with the highest levels of integrity, accountability, and respect for the community it serves.
