We, permanent resident applicants from various programs, urgently petition the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) to address the excessively long waiting periods for security clearance in Permanent Residency (PR) applications.

While we recognize the importance of thorough security checks, the extended delays are causing immense emotional and financial strain on applicants and their families. Despite passing all other stages, we are left in limbo, unable to plan our futures or fully integrate into Canadian society.

We urge for a balance between security measures and timely processing, calling for additional resources and streamlined procedures to expedite security clearance without compromising safety.
