Urgent Oppose the Massive Overdevelopment of Civic Arts Plaza in Thousand Oaks

Urgent Oppose the Massive Overdevelopment of Civic Arts Plaza in Thousand Oaks
The Issue
To the Thousand Oaks City Council & Planning Commission
We, the undersigned residents, strictly oppose the proposed 7-story Downtown Thousand Oaks (DTTO) project. This proposal is gross overdevelopment that swaps our semi-rural character for urban sprawl, threatening to destroy our community’s identity, create massive traffic congestion, and destroy 53+ protected trees. [1, 2, 3]
Our demands are clear:
Reject High-Rise Sprawl: Uphold existing, lower-density zoning heights.
Save Our Heritage: Protect the majestic oaks rather than removing 53 and impacting 39 more.
Prioritize Residents: Value the quality of life of current stakeholders over, not at the behest of, intense corporate development.
We did not move to the Conejo Valley to live in a high-rise city. Amend this project immediately to preserve the small-town character of Thousand Oaks.
