We now have it on good authority that Esquire Developments has hired the Terrapin Group—a PR and lobbying firm known for helping developers push through controversial planning applications. This move makes it clear: Esquire is ramping up efforts to force this development through, despite failing to address the serious traffic problems it will create.

A Traffic Crisis That’s About to Get Worse

Our roads are already struggling under the weight of congestion, with Frant Road, Forest Road, and surrounding routes frequently gridlocked—especially during peak hours. The local infrastructure is already overstretched, and yet Esquire wants to add hundreds more cars to the mix without any real solutions in place.

Instead of addressing these concerns, Esquire has brought in the Terrapin Group to spin the narrative in their favour—a clear sign that they’re more focused on pushing this development through at any costs than on fixing the very real problems it will create for our community.

We Need to Take a Stand

🚦 More traffic, more gridlock, more frustration. Esquire’s development will make our roads unbearable

🏡 Overdevelopment at the expense of our community. Local infrastructure—schools, GP surgeries, social services—can’t cope as it is

🚫 Developers shouldn’t get to rewrite reality. We must make sure local decision-makers hear our voices, not just the PR spin
